A Three Generation Dental Practice

Burns Dental Care, a family-owned practice spanning three generations, has been serving Parkville residents for over 50 years. When Robert C. burns first opened his dental office in 1965, he couldn’t have anticipated that it would become a legacy practice. His son, David, joined in 1986, and thirty years later, David’s son, Taylor, joined the team to continue providing quality care for our patients.

Our Practice

The Burns family has been in the Parkville area since Dr. David Burns’ grandfather became principal of the old Parkville High School in the early 1930s, and they have been committed to the Parkville community ever since.

Here at Burns Dental Care, we strive to provide you with the best possible dental care while maintaining a comfortable and friendly environment. We will tend to the dental needs of your entire family and we hope to serve you for many years to come!

Our office is conveniently located at the corner of Highway 9 and 45. We are open 5 days a week and accept most insurance plans. It is our intention to support your efforts and become your favorite dental home.

Dr. Taylor Burns

Dr. Taylor Burns grew up in the Kansas City and Parkville area, developing a deep connection to his community. Continuing a family tradition of his father and grandfather, he pursued both his undergraduate studies and dental education at the University of Missouri—Kansas City (UMKC). This rich heritage instilled in him a strong commitment to patient care and the dental profession.

He is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Missouri Dental Association, further enhancing his expertise and dedication to the field.

Outside of his professional life, Taylor enjoys spending quality time with his family and dog, appreciating the joy and memories they bring. His goal is to make a positive impact in the lives of his patients, helping them achieve healthy, confident smiles.

Dr. Jack Reynolds

Jack Reynolds was born and raised in Kansas City. He went to St. Pius X High School, where he and Dr. Taylor Burns first met and became friends. After graduating high school, he pursued his higher education at UMKC, graduating on the Dean’s list with BS in biology and a minor in chemistry. He then began dental school, also at UMKC, in the same class as Dr. Burns.

Following graduation from dental school, Dr. Reynolds spent 7 years working in public health to provide dentistry to an extremely underserved population. This time period was just as valuable to Dr. Reynolds as his time in school, not only because it helped him to quickly refine his skills as a dentist, but also to help him learn to connect and empathize with people with all walks of life.

Dr. Reynolds strives to make everybody’s dental appointment a pleasant one. He especially likes to use humor to make patients more at ease and get to know them on a personal level. He tries to never take anything in life too seriously, except for when it comes to providing quality dental care to his patients.

When he’s not at work, Dr. Reynolds enjoys playing chess, watching movies, doing trivia, and lifting weights. But above all else, Dr. Reynolds loves spending time with his wife, Madison, and their 2 children, Rick and Stella.
