The Burns family has been in the Parkville area since Dr. David Burns’ grandfather became principal of the old Parkville High School in the early 1930s, and they have been committed to the Parkville community ever since.

Our office is conveniently located at the corner of Highway 9 and 45. We are open 5 days a week and accept most insurance plans. It is our intention to support your efforts and become your favorite dental home.
Meet the Doctor
Dr. David Burns
Dr. David Burns was born in Smithville, MO. A lifelong resident of Platte County, he graduated from Park Hill High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Missouri – Kanas City. Following his father’s footsteps, he attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry and joined his father’s practice in Parkville.
Dr. Burns has been an active member of the dental community and a member of the several dental affiliates including the American Dental Association, the Missouri Dental Association, and the Greater Kansas City Dental Society. He is also a past president of the Mid-Century Dental Study Club.
Dr. Burns and his wife, Peggy, have been married for over 35 years and love living in the Parkville area. Dr. David loves to go fishing or hunting in his spare time.

Dr. Taylor Burns
Dr. Taylor Burns grew up in Platte County and continues to have strong ties to the Parkville and Kansas City area. Following his 2008 graduation from St. Pius X High School, he attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City where he graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. He then went on to the University of Missouri-Kansas City receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in May of 2016. As his father Dr. David Burns and his grandfather Dr. Robert Burns did before him.
Dr. Taylor is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Missouri Dental Association (MDA), the Greater Kansas City Dental Society, and the Mid-Century Dental Study Club. He is excited to work with patients of all ages to help them achieve the smile they can be proud of.
